Dr. Sanjay Sharma is a Gold Medalist in M.B.B.S. and M.S. (General Surgery) from Bhopal Medical College. With more than four decades of experience in oncology, he has developed extensive expertise in cancer surgery and specialised oncology care.
He specialised in Oncology and Onco-Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and received specialised training in Thoracic Oncology and Critical Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. His international training also includes specialised fellowships in thoracic, lung, laser and esophageal cancer surgery.
Dr. Sharma was a pioneer in introducing three-field esophagectomy in India and has performed more than 280 such procedures using the Japanese technique since 1992. His career also includes extensive teaching, research, cancer awareness and professional contributions.
